Paulo Simas, Principal, Creative Director
After 6 years as a creative director servicing clients like the Disney Stores
and The Australian Tourism Commission in Los Angeles, Paulo founded ODA where he has developed marketing programs for luminary brands such as Hitachi, HP, Domaine Chandon and Motorola while also launching countless new brands in the technology and medical verticals including FoxHollow, Acclarent and NetScaler among others. Paulo serves as the creative director and works hand-in-hand with the design team on all projects while also managing the day-to-day business.
Tom Haan, Partner, Account Management
Tom serves as a point-person with clients, coordinating projects and managing the studio/client relationship. He also works directly with clients in brand and business strategy engagements. Tom has worked in the graphic design industry for the last eight years and has over 15 years of experience working with companies in a strategic consulting capacity. Past clients include: Miramax Films, Red Herring, Gymboree, Greg Norman Interactive and Swell.com. Tom received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and holds an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA.
Matt Dong, Partner, Art Director
Matt contends that brand actually matters. He has spent his 16 year career arguing that fact with anyone who will pay attention. He also believes that breaking the brand rules can be a good thing provided that one knows the rules in the first place. He cut his teeth developing Levi Strauss & Co.'s first in-house design team and moved on to work with a variety of innovative design companies always with the belief that the best creative is an authentic expression of the truth, falling somewhere between great food and religion. His past clients include: Wells Fargo & Co, Lucasfilm Ltd, MTV, HP, Sega, and Old Navy. Along with shaping brands, Matt illustrates record albums, sports retro duds, and generally plays his music too loud.
